Zoe-perry
Perry was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of the two shows she starred in on Roseanne. However, her parents did not want her to pursue acting until she became an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry she was shy for acting in school, began to perform in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Perry went on to New York, where she was offered small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Homesickness then led Perry home to California which was where theatre jobs were in demand. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway with her mother. She appeared in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was staged at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. Perry was also featured in an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. In the same year, she appeared as a younger model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a youthful version. The role was given to her through audition, even though she is a relative to the character.
